The brother of the mystery swordswoman "Golden Swallow� is kidnapped. She joins forces with a beggar �Drunken Cat� who is skilled in martial arts to free her brother from a Buddhist monastery run by a corrupt abbot. The film was selected as Hong Kong�s entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 39th Academy Awards.
