Yoko Miyama, known as the “Ice Queen,” is assigned to lead a difficult team at Tohto Hospital: Kuroiwa, a world-class neurosurgeon and notorious womanizer, Nishigori, who prioritizes surgery above all else, and inexperienced resident Sachiko. As the team struggles to function as a unit, a brain tumor case becomes their first test. Just before surgery under Kuroiwa, the patient’s wife demands it be stopped, forcing Miyama to reassess both the case and the team she now leads.
